Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, accompanied by a delegation, arrived at the residence of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman for a second meeting within hours on Monday.
The gathering is a component of the continuing conversation on suggested constitutional changes.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman reportedly gave Bilawal a warm reception, according to Express News. Prominent figures from the PPP delegation included Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, Engineer Naveed Qamar, and Syed Khurshid Shah.
Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Senator Kamran Murtaza, Mir Usman Badini, Maulana Misbahuddin, and Maulana Abdul Wasay were present on the JUI-F side.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Premier Bilawal held a noteworthy meeting at the Prime Minister's House earlier in the day. During the meeting, the two leaders talked about the political climate and the PPP chairman gave the premier an update on his talks with Maulana Fazlur Rehman about the constitutional amendments.
In the upcoming National Assembly session, the government is getting ready to introduce the much awaited constitutional revisions.
The chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee and leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the Senate, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, stated that a thorough briefing had been provided during a three-hour committee meeting earlier in the day.
Senator Siddiqui stated that while Maulana Fazlur Rehman had asked for additional time and assurances regarding the vote count, she was not inherently against the revisions. Irfan Siddiqui declared, "There is no problem with the number game, since the necessary votes are already in place."
He went on to say that later today, both houses of parliament are scheduled to adjourn indefinitely.
