Air Punjab
As per the directions of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, senior provincial minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the feasibility study of establishing 'Air Punjab' will soon begin.
She did, however, clarify that recent rumors that the government is planning to buy Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) are false and had to be ignored.
In addition to working with private investors to establish the new airline, provincial government interests in the business are also being examined.
The only bidder's final price of Rs10 billion, which was higher than the minimum sale price of Rs85 billion, caused the government's first significant attempt to privatize Pakistan International Airlines to fail on Thursday.
