New investment agreements between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hosted a dinner on Tuesday to welcome dignitaries from a number of member states to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on the first day of its summit.

The prime minister welcomed the Saudi team and praised the visit as an important step in strengthening the two countries' cooperation. Sharif declared, "This visit is an important milestone in strengthening investment ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia," noting that the two countries' long-standing partnership is only getting stronger.

Sharif also praised Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz for their leadership in improving Pak-Saudi relations and sent his "warm regards" to them.

He was pleased with the talks during the Pakistan-Saudi Business Forum, where fresh investment opportunities were discussed. The prime minister invited Saudi investment in the outsourcing of Pakistan's international airports and praised Saudi Arabia's growing commitment to deepening economic ties with Pakistan, especially in sectors like aviation.

In support of Saudi Vision 2030, the prime minister reiterated Pakistan's commitment to Saudi Arabia's "sovereignty and territorial integrity," as well as its willingness to strengthen defense cooperation.

In addition, he emphasized the "significant role" that the Pakistani diaspora in Saudi Arabia has played in the economic growth of both nations and pledged to improve consular services even more for the benefit of their welfare.
