Earlier today, Pakistan's ambassador saw off the citizens at Beirut International Airport. According to a news announcement, the plane was scheduled to arrive at Islamabad International Airport (IIA) on December 13.
Pakistani citizens were evacuated via Beirut thanks to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's persistent efforts, which included daily review meetings for their departure from Syria. The Prime Minister also called with his Lebanese counterpart, Najib Mikati, and requested his assistance in facilitating the rapid evacuation of Pakistani nationals stranded in Syria via Beirut.
Mikati had informed Shehbaz that Lebanon would warmly welcome Pakistani nationals from Syria and provide all necessary assistance in their safe return home.
The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis has set up a separate counter to help the approaching passengers.
